Regional Administrator Toney will recognize the store for responding to President Obama's Climate Action Plan by eliminating the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), a potent class of greenhouse gases. The event will take place during the market's pre-grand opening events. WHO: WHAT: WHEN: WHERE: GreenChill is an EPA Partnership with food retailers to reduce refrigerant emissions and decrease their impact on the ozone layer and climate change. The innovative refrigeration system in this supermarket does not use ozone depleting or hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant.
