"Take Your Business Global"  Learn how to reduce your risk of nonpayment when selling overseas—four international methods of payments explained and compared How to finance your export development activities, working capital needs, and business expansion plans —using SBA and Export-Import Bank export financing programs.

Wednesday, August 13, 3 PM. "Getting to Yes - How to Help Your Lender Help You Get a Business Loan" Seeking a business loan from a bank? Have you been turned down before, or are just unsure of what the bank requires when requesting a business loan ? Learn How to get closer to getting from "NO" to "YES"!

Most webinars are scheduled for one hour. Participants can ask questions about the information. Log-in and connection information can be accessed by clicking on course titles. Registration is encouraged so instructors can provided last minute log-in instructions or other change information if needed.

"IN-PERSON" South Florida Business Events

Tuesday, August 12, Fort Myers, 8:30 AM.  "Export Workshop"  This workshop will help small business exporters to increase their export sales of U.S. goods abroad, primarily via working capital guarantees (pre-export financing); export credit insurance; and foreign buyer financing. After the presentations, there will a limited number of one-on-one appointments with the presenters for any company already exporting and wishing to sell to new markets, expand in existing markets, or extend payment terms to existing overseas buyers.

Wednesday, August 13, Lutz, 11:30 AM.  "SBA Resources for Hispanic Owned Businesses"  Join SBA Area Manager Robert Chavarria at the monthly Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. Robert will speak about resources available to Hispanic Business Owners. 

Thursday, August 14, Miami, 8:30 AM. "SBIR/STTR Phase 1 Proposal Preparation Workshop"  This workshop provides valuable information about the fundamentals of the Bmall Business Innovation Reseach (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs and how to submit a competitive Phase 1 SBIR/STTR proposal to any Federal agency. Attendees will learn how to identify what the granting agencies are seeking, formulate a winning proposal strategy, demystify the writing process, avoid common proposal mistakes, create a quality team, and emphasize a strong commercialization plan.
