The S&P 500 closed above 2,000 for the first time ever last week, before succumbing to soft investor sentiment later in the week on the back of increased geopolitical tension. As we outlined last week, the fundamental outlook for US equities is fairly strong, with investors seemingly embracing the prospect of higher rates.
