Dear BRS Stakeholder, The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is holding a virtual public meeting on September 11, 2014, from 5 to 8pm EDT, to receive comments on a draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) as part of its review to determine whether to deregulate genetically engineered (GE) cotton resistant to the herbicides glufosinate and dicamba, and soybean resistant to dicamba. The DEIS analyzes the potential environmental impacts of these GE cotton and soybean varieties developed by Monsanto Company. Participation instructions for the virtual meeting and all associated documents can be found online at http://www.aphis.usda.gov/APHISVirtualMeetings/.
