Wednesday 08/13/14
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the southwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and on the south and southwest side of the Houston area, "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in the Austin, San Antonio, and Beaumont-Port Arthur areas, and "Moderate" levels in the Tyler-Longview, Waco-Killeen, Victoria, and Corpus Christi areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" on the northwest side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, on the north and northwest side of the Houston area, and on the northwest side of the Austin and San Antonio areas, "Moderate" or possibly higher levels in the Tyler-Longview area, and "Moderate" levels in the Waco-Killeen and Beaumont-Port Arthur areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Friday 08/15/14 Outlook
Winds may be light enough and incoming background levels high enough for ozone to reach "Moderate" levels on the north side of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and on the north and northeast side of the Houston area and in the Tyler-Longview area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
Saturday 08/16/14 Outlook
Incoming light amounts of African dust could possibly raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range in much of South Texas. Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and decreasing background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.
